Mediterranean Coffered Ceiling |
This fantastic ceiling is located at Design Gallery by Arclight. In collaberation with the owners, Brian and Melissa Zagorites, the goal was to create something unique and eye catching. At the same time, we wanted the look to be transitional enough to appeal to everyone's taste. A 3 layer chocolate brown metallic plaster was decided upon for the ceiling. As a focal point, I added the swirling gold medallion with a metallic peridot green center to draw the eye up. The coffers were painted 2 shades of soft aquamarine. Golden swirls and curls were added for a playful touch. Finally, I did a loose strie finish on the walls in a brilliant lime to add contrast to the dark tones of the ceiling and bring light to the space. With the addition of the perfect chandelier to illuminate the metallic tones in the ceiling, this space is both unique and beautiful.
